JAMES R. “JIM” HARRIS DIES AT AGE 82

Jim Harris departed this life on August 9, 2005.  He was known as the man who created a program that has raised millions for Shriners Hospitals.  He copyrighted the Hillbilly Degree Program in 1970 and obtained tax-exempt status for it from the Internal Revenue Service.  Today there are 176 Hillbilly Clans scattered throughout the United States and Canada.  Jim held the title of Imperial Raban of the Hillbilly Clans for 32 years being succeeded in 2002 by Illustrious Sir Clyde Blevins, PP.
